please do not let ferguson die out like everything else big does. do not let this die out. do not let this continue on for three days and then everyone forget about it. do not let this happen.

queue this post up 3 days from now, a week from now, a month from now, a month from then. make sure even if you forget your blog will remember.

the fact i’m seeing reblogs slow down despite the fact there is still news breaking is concerning

I see people saying “How can this happen? Isn’t this America?”

Police action at peaceful UC Davis Occupy protest

Let’s not pretend like the police actions taken this week are anything new. It’s just the most recent manifestation of a problem America has had for a very long time.

TRIGGER WARNING: THIS VIDEO IS GRAPHIC

Video of the Police shooting that killed

Kajieme Powell  in St. Louis 08/19/2014

(I hate posting things like this but it needs to be seen!!)

*EDIT: THIS IS A VIDEO OF HIM BE SHOT AND KILLED

WARNING TO ALL!!!

Oh my god I’m literally crying.

My soul hurts

Bruh count how many fucking shots they unloaded, it wasn’t even that serious bruh

They killed him and they still putting him in cuffs

You can’t deny this evidence and I hope those cops lose their jobs, never to work as law enforcement again.

Cried. Hard. Plain disbelief.

The police story was the man was 2-4 feet away and had the knife raised in his hand. But clearly he was way farther than that and his hands were by his side. These cops are obviously pussy, did they both have to let off 9 rounds? The first shot would have made him drop the knife and him and his partner could have handled it from there. But no. Trigger happy police had to go overkill and even cuffed him after he was dead.

People are giving Wilson money to thank him for killing an unarmed black teenager. Please report this to GoFundMe, as it violates their Terms of Service and they get 5% of the tens of thousands of dollars being donated. Click to report.

This is my message, in case you want to copy and paste:

Your Terms of Service prohibit “items that promote… hate, racial intolerance, or the financial exploitation of a crime.” Take a look at the comments that come with the donations on this page and tell me that doesn’t violate your terms. “Support Officer Wilson” is a thin veil for people rewarding Wilson for killing a black kid.

Stop calling what’s happening in Ferguson a “riot”.

It is not a riot.

Vancouver losing the Stanley Cup a few years ago was a riot. It was angry, drunken destruction with no purpose. (And as a Canadian, it was a shameful event)

Ferguson is not a riot. It is a protest. It is an uprising. It is a civil rights revolution. The prople of Ferguson may be angry, but they have a reason to be angry, and they are not violent, and they are not hooligans, thugs or looters. They are protesting for their human rights which are currently being denied.

Look at the difference between a riot and a protest. A riot is chaos. A protest has a purpose.

KEEP UP WITH WHAT’S HAPPENING IN FERGUSON

sinidentidades:

  • Look at the #Ferguson tag on Twitter and toggle between the everything, videos, and photos. Things tend to get filtered in weird ways on Twitter.
